Cleveland, Ohio – Banyan Technology announced today that it was named one of The Plain Dealer’s Top Workplaces 2017. The Top Workplaces list is an annual award honoring the best companies to work for in the Cleveland area.
“This recognition stands apart from the other awards we’ve received because it is based solely on how our team members feel about working at Banyan,” said CEO Brian Smith. “The fact that the team gave Banyan such high marks tells us that we not only have a rewarding environment, but also a product that our team believes in whole-heartedly.”
The Top Workplaces are determined by an employee survey conducted each year by WorkplaceDynamics, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement.
“Being recognized as a Top Workplace is a true testament to the culture and work environment,” said Lance Healy, Banyan co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer. “We encourage every team member to be leaders in their area of responsibility and, together, work to bring the highest level of customer support to our customers.”
Banyan was recently named a 2017 Top 10 Logistics Tech Supplier by Logistics Tech Outlook Magazine, as well as honored for its internship program at the Northeast Ohio Council on Higher Education Expy’s Awards.
Banyan has doubled their employee count over the past 18 months, and 2017 revenue growth is expected to be well above 50% over 2016.
“Right now, we are focused on preparing the organization for continued exponential growth,” said Smith. “We’ve established a solid foundation, and we are actively making sure that we’re prepared, on every front, to continue to lead the industry in the shift to live connectivity to their carriers.”
Banyan’s team members are actively engaged in the surrounding community. During the holidays, the team donated toys and household items as part of the Lorain County Neighborhood Alliance, and the company matched their gifts. Banyan also supports many local organizations, including Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cleveland and the Sheffield Schools—Brookside Robotics Program.
“The entire Banyan team puts in a lot of hours and effort into meeting our goals,” said Smith. “It is incredible to see everyone so invested in the future of the organization. We have a great team, and I’m extremely proud of them.”
