Brian Smith is the CEO of Banyan Technology. Prior to joining Banyan as CEO, Smith served as President & COO of Proforma, an international distributor of custom printed and promotional products. Over the course of two decades at Proforma, Smith helped grow the company from $40 million to $400 million in annual revenue. Brian earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from John Carroll University.
Lance Healy is the Chief Innovation Officer of Banyan Technology, as well as one of its founders. Lance is responsible for strategic partnerships as well as directing the next innovations Banyan will introduce to the market. As Banyan’s initial user, Lance served in many roles during the organization’s formation and growth including sales to implementation and support. Lance brings more than 15 years of experience in doing hundreds of client implementations. Lance holds a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University.
John Rainsberger is the Chief Sales Officer of Banyan Technology. John has a proven track record of building and growing software and professional services sales organizations. His sales and marketing management experience ranges from various roles over 15+ years with IBM and SAP, to privately held start-ups selling a variety of complex IT technologies to both the Fortune 500 and enterprise SMB markets. John began his sales career with IBM and later served as a North American sales executive for several early-stage software companies. John holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Muskingum University.
Jim Walborn is the Chief Client Officer of Banyan Technology, as well as one of its founders. Jim is responsible for working with existing clients, to ensure effective use of the application with an understanding of client’s strategic initiatives. Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing from Ashland University.
Lynn is the Senior VP of Strategic Business Development at Banyan Technology. Her primary focus is to support growth and development of Banyan for long-term partnerships, with an emphasis in the 3PL market. She is an experienced Supply Chain sales professional with 30+ years of continued career progression; accompanied by key accomplishments in sales and sales management. Prior to joining Banyan, Lynn worked for 10 years as the Director of Sales for 3PL Management at UPS Freight. She has held various other sales and management positions at prestigious companies for the past 24 years. Lynn has a bachelor’s degree in business from Lindenwood University.
Will Lazzaro is the Senior Vice President of Technology, Development, and Strategic Initiatives. Will is responsible for leading the development staff and driving the strategic initiatives. Prior to joining Banyan Technology, Will built software for many industries, including big data solutions for media and advertising, responsive design for environmental health and safety, and patent-law technology solutions. Will holds a bachelor’s degree in history and English from Ohio University. He also holds a master’s degree in information architecture from Capitol Technology University in Washington, DC.
Paul Posta, Banyan Technology’s Director of Operations, is responsible for driving meaningful change throughout the organization in business operations, finance, and client solutions. Prior to joining Banyan, he spent 18 years in leadership roles across the architectural coatings, client services, and consumer packaged-goods industries. Paul earned a master’s degree in business management systems and a bachelor’s degree in information systems technology from Cleveland State University. Paul is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Kent State University.
John Powless is the Senior Vice President of Strategic Business Development. His experience in driving strategic partnerships, along with his successful track record, brings increased cultivation, development, and implementation of key channel partners to Banyan. John holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. John resides in Madison, Wisconsin.
Jim Machnauer is the Controller of Banyan Technology. Jim is responsible for all accounting and finance functions for the organization. Prior to joining Banyan he held financial leadership roles in several SMB organizations in the Manufacturing, Technical Services, Insurance/Investment and Service sectors. Jim holds an Associate of Science from Lorain County Community College, a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting and Finance from The University of Phoenix and has pursued graduate studies at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland and the University of Liverpool in England.
Megan Varney is the Director of Product Development. Megan is responsible for leading the organizational efforts to develop and deploy new features and functionality. She brings over 16 years of product management experience to Banyan. Prior to joining Banyan, Megan served as a Product Manager at Safeguard Properties, a leading provider of asset protection services for leading financial institutions such as JP Morgan Chase and Bank of America. Megan holds a bachelor’s degree in science and technology from Bowling Green State University.
Anna Blackstone is a Product Development Lead at Banyan Technology. She is responsible for supporting the development and deployment of new product features and functionality. Before joining Banyan, Anna worked as a sales support specialist at Majestic Steel, USA. She received her bachelor’s degree in marketing management from the University of Akron.
Joshua Welch is the Manager of Training Solutions and Client Success and is currently responsible for the development of training initiatives both internally and externally. Prior to joining Banyan, Josh served as an implementation and training specialist for a software company located in downtown Cleveland. Josh has been active in customer support for more than 11 years.
Sarah Blesi is a Business Development Manager at Banyan Technology. She is responsible for new client development and assuring customer success. She actively works with all functions of the organization to maximize product adoption and utilization. Sarah joined Banyan after more than a decade with General Electric where she held positions in sales, sales training, and operations. Sarah received her bachelor’s degree in business management from Case Western Reserve University.
Danielle Falatach is a Business Development Manager at Banyan Technology. She is responsible for new client development and assuring customer success. She actively works with all functions of the organization to maximize product adoption and utilization. Prior to joining Banyan, she spent over 4 years at C.H. Robinson, a leading third-party logistics provider, within operations and account management. Danielle received her bachelor’s degree in sport management from The University of Akron.
Jennifer Risch is a Manager of Business Development at Banyan Technology. She is responsible for new client development and managing client relationships. She actively communicates across all departments of the organization, as well as with clients and prospects to align Banyan’s offerings with various business needs. Jennifer came to Banyan with 6 years of logistics experience with C.H. Robinson where she held positions in sales, account management, and operations. Jennifer received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ursuline College.
Mike is the Senior Application Engineer at Banyan, where he is responsible for showcasing the Banyan application to future clients. Mike works closely with prospective clients to fully understand and address their business goals and challenges. Prior to joining Banyan, Mike spent 3 years at Safeguard Properties, a leading provider of asset protection services. There, he served as an IT Project Manager to ensure seamless implementation of business-critical IT projects. Mike also spent more than 5 years at TMW Systems, a leading TMS provider. Mike has a bachelor of science in aerospace flight technology from Kent State University.
Steve Leggett is the Senior Application Analyst at Banyan. He is responsible for new client development and managing client relationships. He actively collaborates across all departments of the organization to align Banyan’s offerings with current client and future clients' needs. Steve joined Banyan after 10+ years of being a Banyan champion and super-user at a large equipment manufacturer.
Anne Holtzman is the Manager of Partnerships and Client Success at Banyan Technology and has been with the organization since 2007, where she started as Banyan’s first customer service representative. Anne is responsible for the new client implementations. Prior to joining Banyan, Anne began her career in 2001 at GLIDE, the Great Lakes Innovation and Development Enterprise where she was introduced to the (then) small startup, Banyan. Anne holds an associate’s degree in business management from Lorain County Community College and is actively pursuing her bachelor’s degree from Kent State.
Ashley Ortiz is an Implementation Manager at Banyan Technology and has been with the organization since 2014. She started as a Customer Service Representative then moved into the Implementation Department. Ashley is currently responsible for the new client implementations and onboarding. Prior to joining Banyan, Ashley began her career in 2008 at Farris Engineering, A Division of Curtiss Wright Flow Control where she held positions in project sales and finance.
Mary Kate Hassing is a Client Solutions Team Manager. Mary Kate is responsible for working directly with clients and the Banyan Client Solutions Team to ensure quality, efficient, and productive client experiences. Prior to joining Banyan, she spent 8 years in client solutions roles in the corporate insurance, chemical cleaning, and SaaS software industries. Mary Kate earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and international business from the University of Dayton, followed by a master’s degree in business administration from Cleveland State University.
Brian P. Smith is a Client Solutions Team Manager. Brian is responsible for working directly with clients and the Banyan Client Solutions Team to ensure quality, efficient, and productive client experiences. He joined Banyan in September 2017, and while there is no relation to Banyan's CEO Brian Smith, it has created some confusion for the whole team at Banyan to have two Brian Smiths!
