Brian Smith, Chief Executive Officer
Brian Smith is the CEO and a board member of Banyan Technology. Prior to joining Banyan as CEO, Smith served as President & COO of Proforma, an international distributor of custom printed and promotional products. Over the course of two decades at Proforma, Smith helped grow the company from $40 million to $400 million in annual revenue. Brian earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from John Carroll University.
Joe Dally, Director of IT
Joe Dally is the Director of Information Technology at Banyan Technology. He is responsible for all strategic technology decisions. His experience ranges in a variety of IT roles at various software and manufacturing organizations. Joe has served in both leadership and architectural roles at Fortune 500 companies and brings a broad understanding of infrastructure and software development practices in enterprise systems. Joe earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.
Lance Healy, Co-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer
Lance Healy is the chief innovation officer of Banyan Technology, as well as one of its founders. Lance is responsible for strategic partnerships as well as directing the next innovations Banyan will introduce to the market. As Banyan’s initial user, Lance served in many roles during the organization’s formation and growth including sales to implementation and support. Lance brings more than 15 years of experience in doing hundreds of client implementations. Lance began seven different micro-businesses while still a college student. Later, Lance created a new product development company, and also introduced a Norwegian construction technology to the US market. Lance, together with Jim Walborn, formed Construction Brokers to solve freight-shipping issues within their own company, eventually creating Banyan Technology from the Construction Brokers foundation. Lance holds a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University, graduating with cum laude honors.
Paul Posta, Director of Operations
Paul Posta, Banyan Technology’s Director of Operations, is accountable for efficiently and effectively driving change throughout the organization in business operations, finance, client solutions, and implementing new SaaS clients. Prior to joining Banyan, he spent 18 years in leadership roles across the architectural coatings, client services, and consumer packaged-goods industries. Paul’s career highlights include progressive roles in successfully deploying an SAP ERP solution, leading people through business change and new process adoption. Paul earned a master’s degree in Business Management Systems, and a bachelor’s degree in information systems technology from Cleveland State University. Paul is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Kent State University.
John Rainsberger, Chief Sales Officer
John Rainsberger is the chief sales officer of Banyan Technology. He is responsible for all of Banyan’s sales initiatives. John brings a proven track record of building and growing software and professional services sales organizations to his position with Banyan Technology. His sales and marketing management experience ranges from various roles over 15+ years with IBM and SAP to privately held start-ups selling a variety of complex IT technologies to both the Fortune 500 and enterprise SMB markets. John began his sales career with IBM and later served as a North American sales executive for several early-stage software companies. John holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Muskingum University.
Jim Walborn, Co-Founder and Chief Client Officer
Jim Walborn is the chief client officer of Banyan Technology, as well as one of its founders. Jim is responsible for working with existing clients, to ensure effective use of the application with an understanding of client’s strategic initiatives. Jim’s experience as an entrepreneur began in 1987, in the role of owner and president of Ex-Sell, an independent sales organization. In 1994, Jim founded Concrete Solutions, Inc., a distributor of specialty concrete products. There, Jim recognized the need for more transparent communications channels among freight shippers, their customers, and their carriers. Based on these needs, Jim, together with Lance Healy, formed the foundation of Banyan Technology. Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing from Ashland University.
Sarah Blesi, Business Development Manager
Sarah Blesi is the Manager of Business Development at Banyan Technology. She is responsible for new client development and assuring customer success. She actively works with all functions of the organization to maximize product adoption and utilization. Sarah joined Banyan after more than a decade with General Electric where she held positions in sales, sales training, and operations. Sarah received her bachelor’s degree in business management from Case Western Reserve University.
Constantine Gulgas, Development Manager
Constantine Gulgas is the Development Manager at Banyan Technology. Constantine is responsible for the delivery of software solutions, management of development resources, and the development of the next innovations Banyan will introduce to market. Prior to joining Banyan, Gulgas served as a Software Developer for over 8 years at TMW Systems, an industry leader in transportation software. Gulgas, was a key contributor in the development of product offerings focused on broker, for-hire carrier, and energy and fuel supply chain industries, as well as providing support and implementation services to TMW clients. Constantine holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and electrical engineering from the University of Toledo.
Anne Holtzman, Client Success Manager
Anne Holtzman is the Client Success Manager at Banyan Technology and has been with the organization since 2007, where she started as the only Customer Service Representative. Anne is responsible for the new client implementations, which is one of many new roles in the organization. Prior to joining Banyan, Anne began her career in 2001 at GLIDE, the Great Lakes Innovation and Development Enterprise where she was introduced to the, then, small startup, Banyan. Anne holds an associate’s degree in business management from Lorain County Community College and is actively pursuing her bachelor’s from Kent State.
Kaity Huff, Marketing Manager
Kaity Huff is the Marketing Manager at Banyan Technology. Kaity is responsible for all aspects of the marketing and communications strategy including content development, lead generation, SEO, and trade shows. Prior to joining Banyan, she spent over 6 years at Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems, beginning her career there as a freshman in college. There, she worked in multiple areas of the business, including sales operations, business development, and most recently, corporate marketing. Kaity holds a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing from Kettering University, previously known as General Motors Engineering & Management Institute.
Jason Maiher, Controller
Jason Maiher is Banyan Technology’s Controller. He has responsibility for Banyan’s financial management and human resources functions, including accounting, treasury, management reporting, payroll, and benefits administration. Jason is also an adjunct faculty member at Lorain County Community College, teaching courses in corporate financial management. Prior to joining Banyan, Jason spent over 20 years as a consultant and finance manager in the financial services industry. Jason holds a bachelor’s degree in international business and finance from Bowling Green State University and a master’s degree in finance from Case Western Reserve University.
