Mike is the Director of Sales Solutions at Banyan, where he is responsible for showcasing the Banyan application to future clients. Mike works closely with prospective clients to fully understand and address their business goals and challenges. Prior to joining Banyan, Mike spent 3 years at Safeguard Properties, a leading provider of asset protection services. There, he served as an IT Project Manager to ensure seamless implementation of business-critical IT projects. Mike also spent more than 5 years at TMW Systems, a leading TMS provider. Mike has a bachelor of science in aerospace flight technology from Kent State University.

Carolyn is the Director of Business Development and made the move to Banyan Technology because she recognized they were the Leader in Webservices and wanted a new challenge. Carolyn brings a wealth of knowledge due to her 20 plus successful years in the LTL and 3PL Industries and has received multiple promotions and awards within both operations and sales, including a two-time Terminal Manager of the Year and three-time World of Champion winner in Sales. Carolyn joined us most recently from UPS Freight as a Freight Sales Account Manager. Carolyn will be concentrating on expanding market share through education of our product portfolio primarily with large commercial shippers and 3PL’s. Carolyn received her Master of Science Degree in Public Service Administration from the University of Evansville and graduated Cum Laude from Baker University where she received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Brendan is the Director of Business Development at Banyan Technology. His focus is to support the growth and development of current Banyan partnerships as well as establishing new business. He is a Supply Chain professional with 15+ years of industry experience partnering with clients and operations to develop solutions across North American transportation networks. Prior to joining Banyan, Brendan worked at UPS Freight as National Account Manager and at Roadway. Brendan also worked at MVP/Decathlon Sports as Logistics Manager focused on traffic/transportation, inventory management, warehouse operations, budgets, personnel, and security for its USA operations. Having worked on both the carrier and consumer sides, Brendan has the broad experience and keen perspective to deliver connections and optimal solutions in the transportation industry.

Zack Heigelmann is a Business Development Manager at Banyan Technology. He is responsible for new client development and assuring customer success. He actively works with all functions of the organization to maximize product adoption and utilization. Prior to joining Banyan, he spent over 2 years at Total Quality Logistics, a top third-party logistics provider, as a logistics account executive. Zack received his bachelor’s degree in marketing from The University of Akron.
Senior Application Analyst
Steve Leggett is the Senior Application Analyst at Banyan. He is responsible for new client development and managing client relationships. He actively collaborates across all departments of the organization to align Banyan’s offerings with current client and future clients' needs. Steve joined Banyan after 10+ years of being a Banyan champion and super-user at a large equipment manufacturer.
Manager – Carrier Solutions
Chris is responsible for developing and deepening Banyan’s Carrier Solutions to best support our Client’s needs.
Prior to joining Banyan, Chris spent 10 years at Invacare in Elyria, OH serving in varying logistics roles culminating as Transportation Manager responsible for North American freight operations.
Chris earned a Bachelor’s degree in Operations and Supply Chain Management and Master of Business Administration from Cleveland State University.
Manager of Partnerships and Client Success
Anne Holtzman is the Manager of Partnerships and Client Success at Banyan Technology and has been with the organization since 2007, where she started as Banyan’s first customer service representative. Anne is responsible for the new client implementations. Prior to joining Banyan, Anne began her career in 2001 at GLIDE, the Great Lakes Innovation and Development Enterprise where she was introduced to the (then) small startup, Banyan. Anne holds an associate’s degree in business management from Lorain County Community College and is actively pursuing her bachelor’s degree from Kent State.
Mary Kate Hassing
Client Solutions Team Manager
Mary Kate Hassing is a Client Solutions Team Manager. Mary Kate is responsible for working directly with clients and the Banyan Client Solutions Team to ensure quality, efficient, and productive client experiences. Prior to joining Banyan, she spent 8 years in client solutions roles in the corporate insurance, chemical cleaning, and SaaS software industries. Mary Kate earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and international business from the University of Dayton, followed by a master’s degree in business administration from Cleveland State University.
Ashley Ortiz is an Implementation Manager at Banyan Technology and has been with the organization since 2014. She started as a Customer Service Representative then moved into the Implementation Department. Ashley is currently responsible for the new client implementations and onboarding. Prior to joining Banyan, Ashley began her career in 2008 at Farris Engineering, A Division of Curtiss Wright Flow Control where she held positions in project sales and finance.

Joshua Welch is the Manager of Training Solutions and Client Success and is currently responsible for the development of training initiatives both internally and externally. Prior to joining Banyan, Josh served as an implementation and training specialist for a software company located in downtown Cleveland. Josh has been active in customer support for more than 11 years.
